Jason and Andrea Duwa were 26 years old and just starting a family when they decided to go out on their own and start Duwa’s Quality Walls, Inc.  It was a scary decision, but they knew they were raised with a good work ethic so decided to give it a try. They started out with a couple of trucks, forms and one employee. No boom trucks, no telebelts, no shop, just a lot of good old fashion hard labor and sacrifice to make things go.  They had to find some contractors to give them a try, and many of these contractors from the beginning are still with them today. DQWalls have employeed over 225 employees over the years, every year they continued to grow and currently average between 35-45 employees. Many of those employees have been with the company between 10-15 years.  

DQWalls is truly a family business, Jason runs all aspects of the business from contractor/customer relations, estimating, and the day to day grind out on the job sites keeping everything moving in the right direction.  Andrea, his wife, handles all the administrative functions in the office. Their oldest son Karson works full time with the company running a Telebelt and assisting in running a wall crew, and their youngest is finishing up his Construction Management degree while working part time for DQWalls but plans on working full time in the future running the total station and helping in the office with estimating.  With this family commitment DQWalls plans on serving the Iowa City/Coralville area for years to come!
